RESUMEN

For the first time, clemastine was estimated in this work utilizing two validated resonance Rayleigh scattering (RRS) and fluorimetric methods. The methods relied on forming an association complex in an acidic medium between eosin Y reagent and clemastine. In the spectrofluorimetric approach, the investigated drug was quantified by quenching the fluorescence-emission intensity of eosin Y at 543.5 nm. The RRS method relied on enhancing the RRS spectrum at 331.8 nm, which is produced when eosin Y interacts with clemastine. Suitable conditions were established for the reaction to achieve maximum sensitivity. The linear values obtained from the spectrofluorimetric approach and the RRS method fall into the ranges of 0.2-1.5 µg mL- 1 and 0.25-2.0 µg mL- 1, respectively. It was established that the detection limits for these methods were 0.045 µg mL- 1 and 0.059 µg mL- 1, respectively. The developed methodologies yielded acceptable recoveries when used to estimate the quantity of clemastine in its pharmaceutical tablet dosage form. Regarding the use of greener solvents that were chosen, the suggested and reported methods were compared with the help of the Green Solvents Selecting (GSST) tool for assessing hazardous solvents to achieve sustainability. Furthermore, analytical Eco scale and comprehensive assessments of whiteness, blueness, and greenness were carried out utilizing Modified NEMI, ComplexGAPI, and AGREE evaluation tools. Additionally, recently developed tools such as BAGI and RGB 12 were applied to assess the blueness and the whiteness of the suggested methods.

This paper asserts that whiteness is a major ideological framework that is subtlety interwoven into our institutional structures and is a major organizing principle in the workplace. Efforts to increase racial equity, inclusion, and belongingness within the workplace and throughout society at large are ineffectual and virtually impossible without addressing the deleterious effects of whiteness. Addressing these pervasive subtleties in the workplace requires more than changing the complexion of an organization; instead, it also involves devoting ample attention to promoting widespread cultural change by being intentional about dismantling whiteness. An illustrative list of four preliminary steps for shifting the racial paradigm by attending to the ideology of whiteness in the workplace is provided.

The proposed research adheres to a certain methodology to ensure that the technique used for analyzing the centrophenoxine drug is sustainable and green. It is important to highlight that several tools that have been recently developed were utilized as potential indicators of environmental sustainability and applicability. The present research presents a novel and entirely innovative method utilizing ultrasensitive spectrofluorimetry for the detection of centrophenoxine (CPX) drug. The employed methodology in this study involved the utilization of one-step, one-pot, and direct spectrofluorimetric technique, which was found to be both efficient and environmentally sustainable in the validation and assessment of the drug. Simply, when CPX and erythrosine B reagent were combined in an acidic environment, the highly resonance Rayleigh scattering product was immediately produced. The sensitivity limits were observed to be within the range of 15-47 ng mL-1, whereas the linearity was assessed to be in the range of 50-2000 ng mL-1. The optimal settings for all modifiable parameters of the system were ascertained through an analysis of centrophenoxine-erythrosine B complexes. Moreover, the system demonstrated compliance with International Council for Harmonization (ICH) specifications without encountering any issues. The suggested process was then rated on different recent environmental safety measuring metrics to see how good it was for the environment. Fortunately, the WAC standards that combine ecological and functional elements utilizing the Green/Red/Blue (RGB 12) design also acclaimed the current analytical technique as a white one. Additionally, a new applicability evaluation tool (BAGI) was employed to estimate the practicability of the planned method in the analytical chemistry field.

Cold plasma exhibits promising outcomes, including enhanced germination, improved functional and rheological properties, and microorganism destruction. This has sparked increased exploration across various domains, notably in hydration and rheological properties for creating new products. This review underscores the manifold benefits of applying cold plasma to diverse food materials, such as cereal and millet flours, and gums. Notable improvements encompass enhanced functionality, modified color parameters, altered rheological properties, and reduced anti-nutritional factors. The review delves into mechanisms like starch granule fragmentation, elucidating how these processes enhance the physical and structural properties of food materials. While promising for high-quality food development, overcoming challenges in scaling up production and addressing legal issues is essential for the technology's commercialization.

Mental health is political, with intersecting economic, cultural, racialized, and affective dimensions making up the care assemblage, signalling how care is conceptualised and who is deserving of care. In this article, we examine emotions circulating in a non-clinical psychosocial support program for culturally and linguistically diverse people experiencing mental ill-health, foregrounding the relations between culture, race, economy, and assumptions underpinning understandings of care. The mental health program under study offers psychosocial support for culturally and linguistically diverse people to manage life challenges and mental ill-health exacerbated by navigating the complexities of Australia's health and social care systems. We draw on interviews with clients, staff, and providers of intersecting services, employing Ahmed's concept of affective economies and Savreemootoo's concept of navigating whiteness to examine the care assemblage within interview transcripts. We provide insight into affective intensities such as hate, anger, and indifference embedded in white Anglo-centric services, positioning culturally and linguistically diverse people on the margins of care. Non-clinical psychosocial support programs can counter such affective intensities by training and employing multicultural peer support workers-people with lived experience-prioritising relational and place-based approaches to care and supporting and providing clients with relevant skills to navigate an Anglo-centric care system. However, this support is filled with affective tensions: (com)passion, frustration and fatigue circulate and clash due to the scarcity of resources, further signalling what type of care (and with/for whom) is prioritised within Australian relations of care.

Aim: In this study, we evaluated the greenness and whiteness scores for microextraction techniques used in therapeutic drug monitoring. Additionally, the cons and pros of each evaluated method and their impacts on the provided scores are also discussed. Materials & methods: The Analytical Greenness Sample Preparation metric tool and white analytical chemistry principles are used for related published works (2007-2023). Results & conclusion: This study provided valuable insights for developing methods based on microextraction techniques with a balance in greenness and whiteness areas. Some methods based on a specific technique recorded higher scores, making them suitable candidates as green analytical approaches, and some others achieved high scores both in green and white areas with a satisfactory balance between principles.

The present study is focused on the sensitive determination of newly FDA-approved glucagon-like-peptide agonists semaglutide (SEM) and tirzepatide (TIR). Direct, selective and label-free spectrofluorometric method was proposed and validated (according to ICH guidelines) for determination SEM and TIR in their pure form, newly approved pharmaceuticals and spiked human plasma. The developed method was based on measuring the native fluorescence of SEM and TIR in ethanol at 294.8 and 303 nm after being excited at 216 and 225 nm for SEM and TIR in order. The method sensibility allowed the quantification of both drugs in nano-scale up to 10 ng/mL. Several experimental variables including solvent type, surfactant, and pH were optimized after several attempts to get the best sensitivity for both drugs. The mean recovery percentage of SEM was compared and found in agreement with the reported method using student's t-test and the variance ratio F-test. Additionally, the greenness and whiteness profiles for this approach were evaluated using the GAPI, AGREE, and RGB algorithm; the positive results supported its use as great candidates for successful implementation in quality control labs and the pharmaceutical analysis companies.

Montelukast sodium (MLK) and Levocetirizine dihydrochloride (LCZ) are widely prescribed medications with promising therapeutic potential against COVID-19. However, existing analytical methods for their quantification are unsustainable, relying on toxic solvents and expensive instrumentation. Herein, we pioneer a green, cost-effective chemometrics approach for MLK and LCZ analysis using UV spectroscopy and intelligent multivariate calibration. Following a multilevel multifactor experimental design, UV spectral data was acquired for 25 synthetic mixtures and modeled via classical least squares (CLS), principal component regression (PCR), partial least squares (PLS), and genetic algorithm-PLS (GA-PLS) techniques. Latin hypercube sampling (LHS) strategically constructed an optimal validation set of 13 mixtures for unbiased predictive performance assessment. Following optimization of the models regarding latent variables (LVs) and wavelength region, the optimum root mean square error of cross-validation (RMSECV) was attained at 2 LVs for the 210-400 nm spectral range (191 data points). The GA-PLS model demonstrated superb accuracy, with recovery percentages (R%) from 98 to 102% for both analytes, and root mean square error of calibration (RMSEC) and prediction (RMSEP) of (0.0943, 0.1872) and (0.1926, 0.1779) for MLK and LCZ, respectively, as well bias-corrected mean square error of prediction (BCMSEP) of -0.0029 and 0.0176, relative root mean square error of prediction (RRMSEP) reaching 0.7516 and 0.6585, and limits of detection (LOD) reaching 0.0813 and 0.2273 for MLK and LCZ respectively. Practical pharmaceutical sample analysis was successfully confirmed via standard additions. We further conducted pioneering multidimensional sustainability evaluations using state-of-the-art greenness, blueness, and whiteness tools. The method demonstrated favorable environmental metrics across all assessment tools. The obtained Green National Environmental Method Index (NEMI), and Complementary Green Analytical Procedure Index (ComplexGAPI) quadrants affirmed green analytical principles. Additionally, the method had a high Analytical Greenness Metric (AGREE) score (0.90) and a low carbon footprint (0.021), indicating environmental friendliness. We also applied blueness and whiteness assessments using the high Blue Applicability Grade Index (BAGI) and Red-Green-Blue 12 (RGB 12) algorithms. The high BAGI (90) and RGB 12 (90.8) scores confirmed the method's strong applicability, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability. This work puts forward an optimal, economically viable green chemistry paradigm for pharmaceutical quality control aligned with sustainable development goals.

In 2011, Jair Bolsonaro initiated a fight against the federal program proposal School without Homophobia (2009), which aimed to educate children, school staff, and parents on the respect to sexual diversity and prevention of violence against LGBTQIA + students. Bolsonaro's Gay Kit unleashed an anti-gender campaign in Brazil. The fight against "gender ideology" that follows Jair Bolsonaro initial campaign indicates a turn in the articulation and the discourse of conservative and right-wing actors. This anti-gender campaign brough together groups that historically have been divided along class, race and gender lines, such as radical Catholic, middle- and upper-class white conservative Brazilians, and Neo-Pentecostals. In this paper, I analyze the power of the anti-gender campaign unleashed since the 2010s to find a common enemy, a common language and a common interest among conservative sectors of Brazilian society. I argue that gender works as the main symbolic glue that helps right-wing actors to forge a common identity in opposition to a new common Other, namely leftists. The main factor bridging them together is the preservation of the masculinist national identity that denies any form of structural inequality and critical thinking.

Preserving the environment, reducing the amount of waste resulting from chemical trials, and reducing the amount of energy consumed have currently become a pivotal global trend. An analytical quality by design (AQbD) based eco-friendly TLC-densitometric method was implemented for quantifying two antihypertensive agents, captopril (CPL) and hydrochlorothiazide (HCZ), along with their impurities; captopril disulphide (CDS), chlorothiazide (CTZ) and salamide (SMD). The analytical target profile (ATP) was first identified, followed by selecting the critical analytical attributes (CAAs), such as retardation factors and resolution between the separated peaks. Critical method parameters (CMPs) that may have a crucial influence on CAAs were identified and emanated through the quality risk assessment phase. A literature survey-based preliminary studies were performed, followed by optimization of the selected CMPs through a custom experimental design to attain the highest resolution with optimum retardation factors. Moreover, method robustness was also tested by testing the design space. Complete separation of the drugs and their impurities was achieved using ethyl acetate: glacial acetic acid (6: 0.6, v/v) as a developing system applied to a 12 cm length TLC plate at room temperature with UV scanning at 215 nm. Calibration graphs were found to be linear in the ranges of (0.70-6.00), (0.10-2.00), (0.20-1.00), (0.07-1.50) and (0.05-1.00) µg/band corresponding to CPL, HCZ, CDS, CTZ, and SMD, respectively. Four different green metric tools were used to evaluate the greenness profile of the proposed method, and results showed that it is greener than the reported HPLC method. Method whiteness assessment was also conducted. Moreover, the method performance was evaluated following the ICH guidelines, and the outcomes fell within the acceptable limits. The developed method could be approved for routine assay of the cited components in their pharmaceutical formulations and bulk powder without interference from the reported impurities. The issue of concern is saving money, especially in developing countries.

This study introduces a new method for analyzing rifampicin, moxifloxacin, and metronidazole using a green micellar High Performance Liquid Chromatography-Ultraviolet method in bulk drugs, different commercial formulations, and spiked human plasma. The combined therapy of these three broad-spectrum antibiotics is used to cure refractory hidradenitis suppurativa (HS), an inflammatory condition affecting the skin. The sustainable separation was attained on a reversed-phase C18 Kinetex® column maintained at ambient temperature in less than 5 min. The mobile phase comprises 0.1 M sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) in water, pH 3.5, adjusted using o-phosphoric acid, and 10% n-butanol. The flow rate was 1 mL/min, with 10 µL injection volume and UV detection at 230 nm. The impact of three key significant variables, SDS concentration, n-butanol percentage, and the mobile phase pH, on suitability parameters was studied. ICH and FDA guidelines were committed to when validating the technique. The results showed linear calibration graphs with high precision and accuracy, in both pure and spiked plasma. The method is efficient, easy to use, and has a high sample throughput, making it suitable for routine analysis in the quality control department and therapeutic monitoring. It is also evaluated as a green-and-white substitute for traditional reported methods.

AIM: To identify structural barriers to the uptake and practice of anti-racism in nursing education, specifically in the Canadian context. DESIGN: A deconstructive, critical, qualitative inquiry informed by critical race theory, critical whiteness, feminism and post-colonialism. METHODS: This study employed an anonymous online open-ended questionnaire and online focus groups with Canadian nurse educators from April to June 2021. The data were analysed through a contextualist thematic analysis that accounts for data as essential experience and also a product of discourse. RESULTS: Structural barriers identified are organized into themes of: the academic environment; position and power; racism; program delivery; and Whiteness. Pervasive silence, especially white silence, can be interpreted in related contexts of precarity, self-interest and institutional violence. Overarching processes of precarity and resistance exert power over the environment of nursing education which act to destabilize, disrupt and discourage anti-racist efforts and education. CONCLUSION: The sustainability of anti-racism should be a primary focus. This entails attending to structures in nursing and higher education that make nursing education precarious work, especially for educators racialized as Other in the white supremacist racial binary of White: non-White. Explicit and ongoing attention to conditions that silence is necessary for any progress to be made. Strategies of applying anti-racism need to be as complex as the barriers. IMPLICATIONS: Many schools of nursing are engaged in attempts to include anti-racism as learning and environment. The structural barriers that interfere with effective integration of anti-racism as a lens for nursing education must be named and addressed so educators and schools can be successful. The implication of trying to incorporate anti-racism without addressing the barriers is a very superficial or pocketed application of anti-racism, and a continuation of the status quo that reproduces Whiteness and excludes and harms people racialized otherwise. IMPACT: The study addressed both strategies and barriers to anti-racism in nursing education. This article addressed structural barriers in anti-racism in Canadian nursing education. The main findings are that processes of precarity specific to nursing education in institutions of higher learning, and resistance through Whiteness, decision-making hierarchy and regulatory structures interfere with the application of anti-racism. This research impacts nurse educators in all nursing schools and leaders in higher education. It also impacts all current and future nursing students as the recipients of the education we provide. Polarization and turf-wars have characterized the COVID-19 response in the United States. While COVID-19 narratives can be binary and divisive, how people cared for each other throughout the first year of the pandemic is more nuanced. This article describes how and why constructs of fear, individualism, wellbeing, and personal risk-taking became imbued in behaviors that thwarted the risk of the collective. This work is based on informal conversations, public forums, and 86 in-depth interviews during the 2020 summer in a small tourist town in northwest Iowa. Some believed engaging in public health prevention was not their responsibility and instead privileged their personal enjoyment, finances, or mental health over others, de-emphasizing personal risk and stating God will protect them. Others were deeply committed to public health prevention, by staying home, masking, and social distancing. In both cases, people used shame to promote their views (e.g., shame on you for masking/unmasking!) as well as fear (e.g., I do/don't fear coronavirus because I am virtuous). However, most engaged in logics of care, navigating what public health precautions to follow to protect themselves and those they loved most. Yet, such decisions were navigated through a culture of individualism and ideals of personal responsibility that cultivated a mistrust in public health. Understanding how and why such individualism took hold in American publics is a crucial inflection point for policy-making as well as cultural interpretation of why and how people construct risk and responsibility.

The present research has established a quick and highly sensitive second-derivative synchronous fluorometric technique for the simultaneous quantification of a binary mixture of olmesartan medoxomil and rosuvastatin calcium. Simultaneously, the suggested approach was used to detect the synchronous fluorescence intensity of the cited drugs at Δ λ = 80 nm in ethanol to determine the concentrations of olmesartan medoxomil and rosuvastatin calcium at 265 and 240 nm, respectively. Various experimental conditions were tested, and each variable was analyzed and optimized. The calibration graphs were shown to be linear within ranges of 0.1-2.0 and 0.5-6.0 µg ml-1 for each drug concentration, respectively. The newly developed Green Solvents Selecting Tool (GSST) was utilized to assess the solvent's sustainability. Furthermore, the proposed method was found to be environmentally friendly after being evaluated with three different tools [the Green Analytical Procedure Index (GAPI), the Analytical Greenness Metric (AGREE), and the Analytical Eco-Scale with Eco-score equal to 95]. The whiteness qualities were also studied using the Red-Green-Blue (RGB12) model, which was recently designed and showed a high score equal to 92.9. The proposed method's good findings, as well as its ongoing sustainability, simplicity, and economy, stimulate its application in QC laboratories.

Esse artigo tem como objetivo propor algumas reflexões sobre a psicanálise e a obra de Frantz Fanon, tomando como inquietação inicial um conjunto de cartas publicadas por psicanalistas na França sobre o tema da decolonialidade. Em um primeiro momento, detalhamos de forma breve o teor da discussão francesa, o conteúdo das cartas e alguns dos seus variados efeitos, assim como parte do contexto francês em que o debate se inicia. Partindo em seguida para um desenvolvimento sobre algumas das elaborações fanonianas sobre o tema da identidade, do humanismo e do universalismo - conceitos densamente presentes no debate francês. Na sequência, enfocamos alguns dos modos como a psicanálise aparece na obra desse autor, a fim de destacar algumas das questões que consideramos fundamentais de serem observadas em seus escritos, e em conjunto das discussões sobre decolonialidade e psicanálise. Dessa maneira, busca-se, a partir de nossa produção, tensionar e colaborar para o debate das possíveis contribuições da teoria de Fanon para o campo psicanalítico.


This article aims to propose some reflections on psychoanalysis and the work of Frantz Fanon, starting with an initial concern regarding a set of letters published by psychoanalysts in France on the topic of decoloniality. In the first part, we briefly outline the content of the french discussion, the contents of the letters and some of their various effects, as well as part of the french context in which the debate begins. Moving on to a discussion of some of Fanon's elaborations on the themes of identity, humanism, and universalism - wich are concepts densely present in french debate. We then advance to examine some of the ways psychoanalysis appears in Fanon's work, aiming to highlight some of the issues we consider fundamental to be observed in his writings, in conjunction with discussions on decoloniality and psychoanalysis. Through our production, we seek to engage and contribute to the debate on the potential contributions of Fanon's theory to the field of psychoanalysis.


Este artículo tiene como objetivo proponer algunas reflexiones sobre el psicoanálisis y la obra de Frantz Fanon, partiendo de una preocupación inicial en torno a un conjunto de cartas publicadas por psicoanalistas en Francia sobre el tema de la descolonización. En la primera parte, delineamos brevemente el contenido de la discusión francesa, el contenido de las cartas y algunos de sus diversos efectos, así como parte del contexto francés en el que comienza el debate. Luego, pasamos a discutir algunas de las elaboraciones de Fanon sobre los temas de identidad, humanismo y universalismo, conceptos densamente presentes en el debate francés. Avanzamos luego para examinar algunas de las formas en que el psicoanálisis aparece en la obra de Fanon, con el objetivo de resaltar algunos de los problemas que consideramos fundamentales para ser observados en sus escritos, en conjunto con las discusiones sobre descolonización y psicoanálisis. A través de nuestra producción, buscamos participar y contribuir al debate sobre las posibles contribuciones de la teoría de Fanon al campo del psicoanálisis.

PURPOSES: To screen key indicators leading to unfavorable outcomes of retinal vein occlusion related macular edema (RVO-ME) within long-term follow-up duration and to evaluate their predictive values. METHODS: A study involving patients with RVO-ME was conducted between April 2021 and September 2022. All eligible patients were divided into two groups (favorable and unfavorable group) according to their final best corrected visual acuity (BCVA) and whether neovascular glaucoma (NVG) occurred. The unfavorable group was further divided into subgroups 1 (with BCVA of ≥ 20/400 and < 20/60 and without NVG) and 2 (blindness group, with BCVA of < 20/400 or with NVG). Demographic, past medical history, ocular characteristics and blood parameters were compared between the groups. RESULTS: A total of 73 eyes from 73 Chinese Han patients (34 males vs. 39 females) with RVO-ME were enrolled. In multivariable regression analysis of continuous variables for unfavorable results, 1-month BCVA after the first intravitreal injection (IVI) was an independent risk factor (odds ratios (ORs) = 2.313, 95% confidence interval (CI) 1.387-3.858, P = 0.001). The area under the curve (AUC) of 1-month BCVA after the first IVI for predicting low vision and blindness was 0.948 (95% CI 0.859-1.000, P < .001) and 0.892 (95% CI 0.744-1.000, P < .001), with a cut-off value of 0.65 logarithm of the minimum angle of resolution (log MAR) (Snellen 20/90) and 1.15 log MAR (Snellen 20/300), respectively. CONCLUSION: The most valuable indicator for predicting low vision and blindness was poor 1-month BCVA after first IVI compared with favorable group.

RESUMEN

In response to highly publicized instances of overt racial injustice, there has been a recent resurgence of interest and commitment to identifying processes through which anti-racist behaviors develop among White individuals. One particularly important context in which anti-racist behaviors can develop is within families and as a result of childrearing. Theories of anti-racism typically neglect the role of families and family science research typically neglects a focus on anti-racist parenting outcomes. To further research and applied work on fostering anti-racism within White families, this paper introduces a new integrative model called routes to effective anti-racist parenting (REAP). The model draws on theories from various fields, including family science and social psychology, and uses a metaphor of nurturing a plant to explain the nuanced, multi-faceted approaches to anti-racist parenting. The model incorporates factors related to the "pot" (i.e., fundamental values and structure necessary to contain more specific anti-racist skills and behaviors), "soil" (i.e., characteristics that define anti-racist commitment), "seeds" (i.e., direct transmission of anti-racism skills), and "environment" (i.e., influential external factors). Finally, we describe the intended benefits that can be reaped from this intentional approach to anti-racist parenting. The REAP model contributes to the family science literature by providing an empirically grounded theoretical model describing the roles that parents can play in children's anti-racist development.

Following increased international migration to China, the number of relationships between foreign women and Chinese men has risen. This article studies how 'white women' are racialized in the Chinese context through analysing the meaning of the term yang. Based on an analysis of online content about these relationships in English and Chinese, this article demonstrates that different racial frameworks interact when the meaning of race is negotiated in romantic relationships that are not only racialized, but also international and multilingual. Finally, it shows how racial narratives are sometimes reproduced through white/yang women's accounts aimed at negating negative stereotypes about their husbands.

Assessment practices in Higher Education remain beholden to the twin pillars of neoliberal economic orthodoxy and White supremacy. The former has given rise to the modularization and commodification of education, wherein student performance is measured according to narrow and often meaningless metrics that foster and maintain ineffective assessment mechanisms. The latter imbues those metrics with a deference to, and valorization of, "Whiteness" as a marker of success, and this manifests in persistent awarding gaps across the sector. Critical Race Theory elucidates the ways in which the "banking model" of education and assessment is implicated in a history of colonial oppression that underpins contemporary experiences of marginalization for racially minoritized students. Furthermore, the rapid proliferation of Artificial Intelligence programs is now throwing into sharp relief the fact that traditional forms of assessment are no longer functional even on their own flawed terms. The authors argue that, at this critical juncture, Anti-Racist assessment, which not only exposes and problematizes racism itself but also embeds formative feedback, drafting, collaboration, and creativity into assessment practices, offers a practical solution that can reconceptualize 'academic excellence' and help to identify and support a different kind of 'good student', reshaping the employability agenda as a force for good and reclaiming the democratizing potential of Higher Education.

RESUMEN

PURPOSE: To evaluate changes in the color of an anterior nanohybrid composite resin and differences in its whitening index after 30 days of brushing with six brands of whitening toothpaste in vitro to simulate the situation in individuals with high coffee consumption. METHODS: Eighty-four disk-shaped resin specimens were prepared (shade A2). For initial staining, the samples were immersed in coffee solution for 14 days and then divided into eight groups for treatment with various toothpastes. Color was assessed at the baseline, after initial staining, and on days 7, 14, and 30 of the staining-and-brushing cycle. Color stability was evaluated based on the CIEDE2000 color difference (ΔE00), and differences in whiteness were determined using the whitening index for dentistry (WID). RESULTS: The highest ΔE00 and ΔWID values were obtained with Colgate Herbal, followed by Opalescence Whitening and Crest Baking Soda and Peroxide, whereas the lowest values were obtained with distilled water, followed by Yotuel Pharma B5, on day 30 of the staining-and-brushing cycle. CONCLUSION: In terms of improving the color and whiteness of coffee-stained anterior nanohybrid composite resin, Colgate Herbal, Opalescence Whitening, and Crest Baking Soda and Peroxide yielded promising results after 30 days of continuous use.
